Baby Blessing

NO, I haven't had the baby. This is a picture of me with my cute nephew, Alex. He was a bit early and very same, but adorable all the same. Jaron and I got to watch his 5 year old sister, Sabrina, while their parents went to a work party.

He was blessed on the 18th of April by his dad, Jeremy. It was a great blessing too! Its been so wonderful to watch their little family grew in size and faith. Sariah is such a good mom too! I've seen her make the transition from my sister, Sariah, to a mom.

These are just a few of the family members: Beth Anne Service (sister by name, which can be stronger than blood), Sariah Perkins, Hollis Steadman and Me (Lauren Robbins). Hol and I have the 'ball' heads of the family, you can really tell now that we both have our bangs shorter.

Baby Quilt

My mom and I went to the fabric store to get some fabric for receiving blankets. My mom is fantastic and has a stitch on her sewing machine that makes crochet hook holes around the edges of the blankets.

We found some good fabrics AND some AWESOME fabric for an adorable quilt. Since I have my own sewing machine, I did the 'hard' work (sewing all the 12x12 squares together) and now my mom has the backing, batting and satin binding. I'm SO excited to see the finished product!

Hawaii Part IV

Jaron and Mr. T, chillin'. We had so much fun playing with our new friend. I think he was getting bugged by the end.

Jaron and Travis being manly in their snorkel and goggles, HOT STUFF!

Along with Mr. T, Teresa found a cute little crab. He was actually pretty big and not too playful.

We also found a Helmet Sea Urchin, he just sat there and didn't move. He had a real strong grip on that rock, we tried to get him off, but it was a no go.

Beautiful!! Wish you were here! It was so peaceful! I want to go back!

Hawaii Part III

Stops on our way to the North Shore:

This is what the boys wanted to do the whole time. The waves don't look THAT big, but they were. Teresa and I were taken out a couple of times and both our swimsuit tops were 'displaced' momentarily. Jaron on the yellow board, Travis on the orange, they had SO much fun. This was the first beach we stopped at, I think it was Waimea Bay Beach.

The boys thought that since they had so much fun mastering the waves, they could totally take on the Banzai Pipeline. Yeah right! They pansied out once it came down to it, they waves were really big and the rocks weren't hidden at all.

Just off the beach was this board, so we had a little fun.

FINALLY, SEA TURTLE! Teresa and I named him Mr. T. We was so cute and kind of stuck in shallow water so we got to take as many pictures as we wanted and he couldn't do anything about it, he just sat there and ate the green mossy stuff anyway.

Check it out!! I'm so proud of my photographic abilities! Close up of Mr. T coming up for a breath, he was quick too.

Hawaii Part II

OH MOLLIE!! I've had these pictures saved as a draft for three weeks! Its just finals week, what can I say?

Travis and Teresa Swift, Me and Jaron at the USS Arizona Memorial, it was a little windy. Before you even get on the shuttle boats you have to watch a 20 minute video about the Pearl Harbor attach. It was surprisingly good and unbiased. The only part that I didn't appreciate was the fact that the mandatory bag check was down the street in the opposite direction.

Outside the memorial.

Travis, Teresa (who is SO stinkin' photogenic), myself and Jaron at the revolving roof top restaurant, Top of Waikiki. It moved just slow enough to not make Teresa turn green, she gets killer motion sick. If you look out the windows you can see the ocean at sunset, and yes, it was expensive. And yes, somehow Jaron is still smiling.

WHO KNEW?!? Jaron nor myself had any clue how pineapples grew. No clue!

Outside the Dole Pineapple plantation, the boys weren't too happy about stopping - they just wanted to get to the beach. I didn't get a chance to try it, but I heard the pineapple ice cream is to die for.

Hawaii Part I

HAWAII!
For those of you who may not know, we took a little vacation. We decided to have one last fling before we had to take on 'REAL' responsibility. We were planning on going to Spain, but Jaron wanted at least 2 weeks to see everything. And since we are both currently in school and both working there wouldn't be a full 2 week break before the baby arrived. In chilling with some friends we heard that Travis and Teresa Swift were going to Hawaii for Spring break, so we crashed their vacation.

First stop, Waikiki Beach! Travis and Jaron (in his shorty shorts).

Teresa and I in the water, we only got in up to mid-calf. The water was cooler than we wanted, but we look way hot in our cute bikinis! Just as we were getting in the water, when it was still uncomfortably cold, a little boy came racing by us into the deeper water with his boogie board. He flicked water all over us, but the funny part was that Teresa thought it was Travis being a brat, she caught herself right before reeming him out the little turd.

Jaron and I by a cute little waterfall, look how cute we are (even as prego as I am).

Jaron posing by the Waikiki Aquarium, it was only a few blocks from our hotel. It was really cool because they had these hand-held speakers that guided you through the whole aquarium. I'm glad that we went there before snorkling, we got to see all the fish behind the glass first. We also got to see a sea cucumber poop.

There were two cute little sea lions at the aquarium. I tried to get a picture of them together, but the little sign said they are mostly unsocial. Maybe its just me, but I always thought that sea lions were cute and cuddly--who knew. He wouldn't even pose for a picture. Its a good profile picture though, you can even see his whiskers.

New Hair

This is the first picture of my new hair. Friends, Meghan with Danielle on my left and Teresa on my right. Its not a great picture of my hair, but my friends look great!!
I knew I wanted to go SHORT, but I was scared of layers. The girl in my ward who was doing the cutting could see my apprehension so she said, "We can always cut more off later, live with the shoulder length for a little - its easy to cut later then glue back on."

I looked a little too school girlie so two days later Alex (the girl in my ward) cut about 6 more inches. I LOVE MY NEW HAIR, its SO easy!!
